The Best Way To Cook Rump Steak

  • 500g rump or more depending on your preference
  • Vegetable oil/ groundnut oil
  • Black pepper
  • Sea salt

Procedure;

  • Step 1

You will most likely buy the steak frozen so the first step is to allow it to come to room temperature (25C) for a while before you move to the next step.

  • Step 2

Prepare the oven by steaming it up to 180°C/gas.

  • Step 3

Depending on your preference, place a frying pan or griddle pan over a high temperature and add vegetable oil. Dey up the steak using a paper towel and spray it up with sea salt.

When the pan is heated as well as the oil, add the steak and leave the setup for 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 7

After 15 minutes, remove the steak from the oven and sprinkle seasoning on the surface. Pepper is the most preferred seasoning. Rest the steak on a warm dish covered with foil and leave the setup for another 10minutes.

After 10 minutes, your rump steak is ready. You can then serve with any accompaniment depending on your preference.
