InspX LLCInspX LLC

Company Profile:

InspX provides x-ray based solutions for food processing and packaging inspection requirements.  The ScanTrac series of x-ray inspection systems has been complemented by "detecting what x-ray is supposed to detect"... stones in beans, metal in metal cans, glass in glass jars, and bones in meat.   InspX continues the inspection tradition initiated by Peco Controls over 55 years ago with a specific focus on x-ray.   InspX provides industry leadership in the most challenging of applications by incorporating the latest in technology in systems designed for food manufacturing operations.  ScanTrac systems include many unique features that enable InspX to contribute new inspection options to meeting the challenge of evolving food safety and quality standards.

Key Products:

The harmonious ScanTrac family includes;

  • The Solo for high speed cans and similar rigid packages. With the ability to inspect at speeds in excess of 700 feet per minute, the Solo meets the needs for both high speed packaging lines and the need to make complex analyses for heightened sensitivity.
  • The Duo for glass packages. With a single tube / two-beam design the Duo scans the glass package bottom at 90 degree angles to detect small glass particles on and around the glass bottom and its push-up center.
  • The Crescendo for institutional cans and glass. The Crescendo includes two tubes, one that elevates to inspect from the top of the package down and complements the bottom - up inspection of the stationary tube.
  • The Legato and Fermata for pipeline applications. The Legato for slower flows in pipe diameters up to 2 - 3 inches, and the Fermata for high speed flow rates in 4 inch pipes both feature precise and repeatable detection capabilities.
  • The Atempo and Forte for belt transfer applications. At 300 mm width (Atempo) and 600 mm width (Forte), these belt systems utilize sophisticated inspection algorithms for challenging applications such as bones in chicken. Featuring roll-out conveyors and quick-change belts and a comprehensive sanitary design, the systems work well in both CIP and COP applications.
