Herrmann Ultrasonics packaging division offers sealing solutions that utilize ultrasonics to create hermetic and peelable package seals. The ultrasonic sealing process is used in stand-up and flat-pillow pouches, form-fill seal bags, cartons, blister/clamshell, cups/trays and tube type applications. Nearly all packaging materials and laminates with a thermoplastic sealing layer or coating are suitable for sealing with ultrasonic technology.  Successful integration of ultrasonic components is available for most horizontal and vertical form, fill and seal machines for both longitudinal and cross seal applications.   Ultrasonic technology is also used for food cutting applications, which results in fast, clean and consistent cuts.
